What is ePenpal Profile?
Profile is the information which consists of basic information, such as your photo/name/age and detailed information such as your languages/interests/people you are looking for. (If you are privacy conscious, you can fill in only required fields)
Information is used for you to use all ePenpal features but it can be shown to any ePenpal user, so all information given will be examined first to protect privacy and to filter out inappropriate contents.
What are the status of profile?
1 Approved - profile is fully approved ( user can use all features without any limitations)
2 Limited approval - profile is approved with some limitations ( user can use all features but can be limited to some features)
3 Suspended - profile needs to be approved again ( Services will be limited )
4 Deleted - Account deleted
Profile guide can be accessed by tapping the button on the top right corner of the profile view
I have submitted my profile and I see ‘Pending’. What is that?
When you submit your profile, it will be examined by person and approved within 24 hours. Before then, you will see the ‘Pending’ status.
There are badges just above my photo in Profile view. What are they?
1. Good Profile badge - This badge is given to users who filled in their all profile information and all are appropriate
2. 73 bronze badge - This badge is given to users who have 7+ likes and 3+ friends
3. 3010 silver badge - This badge is given to users who have 30+ likes and 10+ friends
4. 10030 gold badge - This badge is given to users who have 100+ likes and 30+ friends
5. Social Networking badge - This badge is given to users who shared their ePenpal activities on Facebook or Twitter
What does the number of Likes and Friends on Profile view indicate?
1 Likes
● The number of likes is the number of people who showed interests in you. Only one like can be sent to one pen pal.
(There is no unlike feature )
2 Who Likes Me
● Your profile view > Tap on like number > ‘Who Likes Me’ View > The list of pen pals who sent you a like ( you can hide pen pals from the list by tapping on the menu button, but the number remains the same)
3 Friends
● The list of your friends ( Unfriend feature by tapping on menu button in conversation)
Badges will be given based on your number of likes and friends and badge owners will get benefits while using ePenpal features.
The number of friends in Friend List is not the same as the friend number on Profile view.
ePenpal Message View > Swipe to left > Friend List > Tap on Menu button > ‘Sync Friend List’ (When you become a friend with a pen pal, your friend list will be synced)
I want to edit my profile but I can’t press the button.
When your profile photo is being loaded, the button is disabled in grey. It may take a while if a network connection is not strong but when it is done, you will be able to press the button to edit your profile.
What is the Hashtag(#) in introduction of profile?
Hashtag(#) can be used with your interests or any words in your introduction.
They can be searchable when users use ‘Tag Search’ feature in Match (e.g. If you used a #K-pop in your introduction, and someone search that tag, you will be listed on their result list)
